Destroying The Gap

DTG provides a “one-stop & shop” service to students considering higher education. This highly effective initiative is composed of social work interventions, educational best practices, family counseling, financial planning/aid, and more. We develop the whole student and his/her family. LifeChangers has been employing philosophies similar to Ready by 21 since 2001. DTG is truly in a class of its own boasting 89% success rate on state standardized tests, and 100% college-bound graduates.

Project H.O.P.E.

LifeChangers is about HOPEHelping Overcome Problems and Experiences by providing conflict resolutions skills for the family (5th graders and up—with their parents).  Session topics include forgiveness, communication, conflict resolution, peace-keeping, anger management, truancy and making right choices.  Also included is FREE dinner, FREE childcare, and FREE family care support—financially, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.  Every family is also encouraged to attend the FREE student and family camps—gaining refreshment, encouragement, and more life skills. Families may also attend to improve academic attendance,parenting skills, and potentially gain deffered adjudication from truancy court cases.  The program currently occurs at during the school year at Kealing middle school (1607 Pennsylvania Avenue), Burnet middle school (8401 Hathaway Drive), and Garcia middle school (7414 Johnny Morris Road).
